Answers with citations, and an honest I don't know

Why every claim on Stemojo points back to your materials, and why refusal is a feature.

A confident wrong answer about your own syllabus is the most expensive thing we could ever ship.

So the assistant is not allowed to be impressive in the abstract. Every claim it makes carries a citation back to the material it came from. When the search finds nothing relevant, the reply is plain: I could not find this in your lesson materials. I can look in another lesson, but I will not invent an answer.

That is slower than a chatbot that always has a paragraph. It is also the only way this stays usable the week before exams.

Citations are not decoration. They let you open the note and check the line. If we cannot show you the line, we do not get to sound like we read it.

Subject partners sit on the rail while you work. They are company, not a proof. The proof is the source.
